Jamshedpur : MLA Saryu Roy has said that Medica Hospital in Bistupur has been in operation for the last five years. Earlier this hospital was running under the name of ‘Kantilal Gandhi Memorial Hospital’. For the last few days, information is being received that this hospital is going to be closed from September 2020. For the past one week, often daily, different categories of employees of Medica Hospital meet with Roy expressing concern about becoming unemployed after the closure of the hospital.
In this regard, MLA has written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren requesting to disclose it to the public if Medica Hospital is being closed. Saryu said that if the Government of Jharkhand, Tata Steel Management, Medica Hospital Management are not interested in further operating this hospital, then the government should disclose the reason publicly to the authorized level.
According to a letter written by him, he is constantly trying to get information from the Jharkhand government’s Health Department, Tata Steel management and Jamshedpur management of Medica hospital about the reasons for the closure of the hospital.
