Jamshedpur, Dec 4: Independent candidate from Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency Saryu Roy led a massive bike rally in the city on Wednesday. The rally started at Agrico Transport ground and culminated into a public meeting in Bhuiyandih after passing through Golmuri, Burmamines, Telco, Birsanagar, Baridih, Sidhgora and Bhalubasa. Roy waved at his supporters from an open jeep he rode throughout the rally. He was accorded warm welcome at various places. Thousands of people participated in the rally. Many of them wore masks of Saryu Roy and held cutouts and banners in his support.
Roy expressed gratitude to all supporters and sought voters� support in the elections. He said the huge crowd was proof that people wanted change in the constituency. He said the BJP will have to face snubbing defeat in Jamshedpur East and Jamshedpur West Assembly constituencies due to wrong decisions taken by it.
Meanwhile, former Bihar minister Narendra Singh, state general secretary of Samajwadi Party Ali Raza Zaidi and state RJD president Gautam Sagar Rana announced their decision to support Roy in the ongoing Assembly elections.
