Jamshedpur, Jan 23: Sanjeev Sinha formally took charge as new BJP district president on Friday in a ceremony deeply rooted in Indian culture and Sanatan traditions.
The charge-taking ceremony was held at the BJP district office in Sakchi, where thousands of party workers and senior leaders gathered to witness the occasion.
Outgoing District President Sudhanshu Ojha ceremonially handed over the responsibility to the newly elected President Sanjeev Sinha.
As part of the traditional proceedings, priests conducted Swasti Vachan and performed rituals to mark the formal entry of the new President into the office.
Sudhanshu Ojha presented Sanjeev Sinha with a ceremonial shawl and bouquet, seated him on the President’s chair, and extended his best wishes by offering sweets.
The BJP office premises resonated with slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” reflecting the enthusiasm and energy of party workers present at the event.
Former Jharkhand BJP State President Dineshanand Goswami, along with several senior leaders, graced the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Goswami said that the BJP’s journey to national prominence is the result of the dedication and tireless efforts of millions of workers.
He praised the organizational contributions of outgoing President Sudhanshu Ojha and expressed confidence that Sanjeev Sinha would further strengthen the party by uniting both senior and young workers.
Sudhanshu Ojha, in his address, highlighted the BJP’s democratic tradition of organizational transition.
He described Sanjeev Sinha as a capable and hardworking leader and expressed hope that his tenure would prove historic and inspirational for the organization.

In his inaugural address, newly appointed president Sanjeev Sinha emphasized that the BJP believes not in positions, but in responsibility.
He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening and expanding the organization with the collective support of all party workers.
Stressing discipline, unity, and respect for workers as top priorities, he vowed to take the organization to greater heights.
He also expressed gratitude to the party’s top leadership and workers, stating that he would remain forever indebted to their love and blessings.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of several senior leaders, former legislators, office bearers, and a large number of party workers, making the event a significant milestone in the BJP’s organizational journey in Jamshedpur.
