Dreams Take Flight: Round Table India Flies 70 Students to Delhi for Historic Educational Tour

Jamshedpur/Delhi: In a transformative national initiative titled “Flight of Fantasy,” Round Table India (Area 16) provided an unforgettable educational and motivational experience for 70 school children from across Jharkhand and Odisha. For many of these students, the journey marked their first-ever flight, turning distant dreams into reality.

The program included selected students from Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar, and Cuttack. The excitement was palpable as the children embarked on their journey, their faces lit with smiles as they prepared to explore the nation’s capital.

Leadership and Participation from Jamshedpur

The Jamshedpur chapters of Round Table India played a pivotal role in facilitating the trip. Vivek Naredi (Chairman) and Mr. Mohit Agrawal (Treasurer) of JGSRT 224 led three students from their school in Bistupur on the Ranchi-Delhi flight. Rishabh Agrawal, Chairman of JYRT 338, sponsored five students and one teacher from ABR Public School for this prestigious tour.

A Date with Democracy: Visiting Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament

Round Table India managed all logistics, including travel, premium accommodation, and meals in Delhi. The itinerary was designed to inspire national pride and civic awareness:

  • Rashtrapati Bhavan: Students explored the official residence of the President of India, witnessing the grandeur and history of the country’s highest constitutional office.
  • New Parliament House: The children were given a guided tour of the Parliament’s various chambers and museums.
  • Interaction with Minister Sanjay Seth: A major highlight was the meeting with the Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth. The Minister engaged in a heartfelt conversation with the students, explaining the democratic process and the significance of India’s legislative history.

Empowering Through Experience

Reflecting on the mission, JGSRT 224 Chairman Vivek Naredi stated that “Flight of Fantasy” is not merely a trip but a medium to boost self-confidence and provide a new direction to the children’s aspirations. The initiative aligns with Round Table India’s core philosophy, “Freedom Through Education,” aiming to inspire underprivileged children to dream big regardless of their background.

The students expressed immense joy at experiencing air travel and visiting the iconic symbols of Indian democracy. Round Table India continues to organize such annual events to foster empowerment and leadership qualities among the youth.
