Road Safety awareness session at St. John’s High School

Jamshedpur: St. John’s High School hosted a Road Safety Awareness session, organized by the Young Indians, with the aim of instilling safe road practices in young minds. The initiative, aptly titled “Chota Cops,” seeks to empower children to become advocates for road safety within their families, encouraging elders to adopt and adhere to safe practices on the roads.

The session was conducted by  Sunil Parikh, who emphasized the urgent need for road safety awareness in a country that, unfortunately, ranks first globally in road accidents. He highlighted the importance of nurturing responsible behavior from a young age, reinforcing the belief that children can play a pivotal role in fostering change.

St. John’s High School shares this vision, with its motto of “Catch Them Young.” The school believes it holds a moral responsibility to ensure safer, accident-free roads for the future generation. Through initiatives like this, they aim to create a community that prioritizes road safety, both within and beyond school premises.

The session was well-received, leaving the students motivated to take on their new roles as “Chota Cops” and spread awareness among their families and communities.
