Jamshedpur, Aug 9: RJD leader Arjun Prasad Yadav has in a letter to the chairman of Adityapur Municipal Corporation (AMC) demanded that the three Khatal owners settled in Kalpanapuri since the last three decades and earning a living should not be evicted until resettlement spots for them are provided. Yadav cited that at a time when the government is trying to protect lives and properties of people during pandemic times, it was in no way reasonable or logical to evict the Khatal owners at such short notice.
The RJD leader in his letter to the AMC chairman mentioned that Ajay Yadav, Sadhu Yadav and Anil Yadav had been rearing cattle at Kalpanapuri since the past 30 years to look after their families. The AMC had given them a notice to remove the Khatals from the area. Arjun Prasad Yadav has demanded that a location for their resettlement be provided prior to evicting them from their current place in Kalpanapuri. A copy of the letter has been forwarded to the Municipal department Secretary at Ranchi.
