Red Cross reaches out to Gudabanda fire victims

Jamshedpur: A team of Indian Red Cross Society visited Punasia village of Angarpara panchayat in Gudabanda on Friday and provided relief material to 45 Munda families affected by a major fire mishap.

The team members assured to help the affected families. They were sent to Gudabanda by the deputy commissioner and president of Red Cross Dr Amitabh Kaushal.

Utensils, dhotis, saris, rice and awning were given to villagers by the team. The team had tough time reaching out to the villagers some 40 kilometres away from Gudabanda in the middle of a forested and hilly area.

A local youth, Bukai Soren, led the team to the village.
