Addressing the 15th convocation ceremony of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar said that students of premier technical institutions like NIT would play a decisive role in building a developed and self-reliant India.
He emphasized that quality education and innovation are the cornerstones of nation-building as the country advances rapidly on the global economic stage.

Recalling Jamshedpur’s rich industrial legacy, the Governor highlighted the Tata Group’s enduring contribution to India’s industrial growth and civic development.
He paid tribute to Ratan Tata, noting that his leadership carried Tata values and ethical business practices to the global platform.

Gangwar also pointed to the rising participation of women in higher education, observing that a large number of gold medalists at state-level convocations are women—a trend he described as a positive and encouraging sign for society.
Stressing the importance of skilled human resources for Jharkhand’s progress, he said institutions like NIT are vital as India moves towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy.
