Jamshedpur, July 15: Jharkhand State Cricket Association�s three day workshop for Umpires of Jharkhand, Bengal, Tripura and Assam began on Wednesday at JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi.
The ceremony kicked off at 9:30 a.m where Amitabh Choudhary, President JSCA along with faculty members Shahvir Tarapore from Bangalore, Vineet Kulkarni from Pune and Manoj Kumar was present who taught technicalities of the game to the state panel umpires.
Altogether 52 umpires participated in the workshop along with 10 umpires from Jamshedpur including Ashutosh Kumar Mishra, Deepak Sethi, Parambir Singh, Raju Kumar Pandey, Sanjay Kumar Mishra, T. V. Ganesh, Avishek, Hemant Kumar Thakur, Pushpanjalee Banerjee and Moumita Chakraborty.
At the event Raju Kumar Pandey from Jamshedpur received the S.R. Bose Trophy for best umpiring in the season 2013-14. State panel umpires were seen eager to know about the technicalities and the changes incurred in the game.
