Jamshedpur : The Indian Institute of Metals, Jamshedpur Chapter, organised second edition of the Materials and Metallurgy Quiz programme, titled �Prof. S. N. Sinha Memorial Materials and Metallurgy Quiz (SNSM3Q 2014) at CSIR-NML’s auditorium.
Rajendra Vidyalaya team led by Jiwesh Kaushal and Rishabh Raj won the quiz. Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya team comprising Sourav Kundu and Abhayankar Joshi stood second.
The event is dedicated to the memory of Late Prof. S N Sinha, an eminent educationist and past president of the IIM Jamshedpur Chapter.
The first three teams were rewarded in the evening. In addition, the first two teams will be given opportunity to represent Jamshedpur Chapter in Prof. Brahm Prakash Memorial Materials Quiz 2014 in September at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu.
There were 30 teams from 15 schools participated in the contest. The programme started with floral tribute to Late Prof. Sinha by Dr Sandip Bhattacharyya, chapter chairman, Dr S Srikanth, director, National Metallurgical Laboratory, Prof. (Mrs). Gayatri Sinha, wife of late Prof. S N Sinha and Dr Tanmay Bhattacharyya, Secretary, IIM, Jamshedpur Chapter.
