Rabindranath was a master of all art forms: Dr HS Paul

Annual Day celebrated at Kadma branch of Tagore School of Art

Jamshedpur, Dec 15: The legendary Rabindranath Tagore was a master of all the art forms and it is beyond all arguments that he was the best of all expressionists whether with the pen or the paint brush. The Tagore Society is a dedicated organization carrying the torch of creative brilliance and colourful culture through to generations present and future. One such example is the Society�s Tagore School of Art whose imprint has been such that the reflections are well mirrored in the School�s Kadma Branch which celebrated its Annual Day on Sunday, December 15 with the varied colours of a rich, traditional cultural heritage standing in the brand name of the inimitable doyen of creativity, Rabindranath Tagore.

Chief guest on the occasion and Tagore Society President Dr HS Paul observed in his address, �Tagore was a master in all expressive art forms and it is this cultural elevation that has to be nurtured and propagated among the people and creating talents in the various forms of expressive arts to ensure posterity thereby upholding the purpose for which the Tagore Society has been formed.�

Dr Paul extended his best wishes to the Kadma branch of Tagore School of Arts and urged it to uphold and spread a culture that Rabindranath had nurtured to make it an exemplary international attraction.

Tagore Society General Secretary Asish Chowdhury while presenting the annual report of the Kadma branch compared the organization with a Banyan Tree that had several branches and that every branch was dedicated to the expansion of art and culture.

Songs and dances based on Bard Rabindranath�s compositions were presented by the students of the Tagore School of Art, Kadma branch. The songs and dance compositions were mind soothers and morale boosting in the sense that the audience felt that Tagore�s dream had passed on into the right hands.

Vice President of Tagore Society, Dr Jahar Banerjee offered the vote of thanks which concluded a day of joy and hope.
