Seraikela, Feb 9: Yuva Visthapith Sangh has protested against the encroachment of displaced persons plot at Kapali Rehabilitation Centre under Subernarekha Multipurpose Project in Chandil by non-displaced villagers.
The Visthapith Sangh from 116 displaced villages have demanded a probe into the incident from the administrator of the Subernarekha Multipurpose Project.
A delegation of the sangh met the administrator at Adityapur on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum informing about encroachment of plots reserved for displaced villagers by non-displaced villagers and setting up of homes illegally with the help of influential persons which is denying justice to the displaced villagers.
SMP project director Ranjana Mishra said that they are preparing a database of all displaced persons at the displaced rehabilitation centre and action would be taken against such persons who have not been displaced but have set up settlements at such centre.
