Jamshedpur’s Tribal Wall Art: City Gets a Makeover for President Murmu’s Visit

Jamshedpur: The Steel City has been decked up with a traditional flair to accord a grand welcome to President Droupadi Murmu.

The district administration, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), and Tata Steel UISL have joined hands to welcome the President to the city. Boundary walls from Sonari Airport to Kadma Link Road and the DC residence have been decorated with the colors of Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage.

In collaboration with the JNAC and Tata Steel UISL, local artists have creatively painted Jharkhand’s traditional Sohrai-Khovar tribal art on the walls of the Steel City. The route from the airport is lined with images depicting the state’s folk culture and glorious history, welcoming the esteemed guests.

To facilitate smooth traffic flow, parking spaces near Bistupur PM Mall have been removed. The entire area has been declared a no-parking zone. Not a single vehicle could be seen parked beside the road on Saturday. JNAC city managers have been specially deployed to ensure that the road is not blocked due to unruly parking. A new alternative parking spot has been created next to the mall gate.

Italian road cleaning machines are being used to clean the roads and dividers connecting Bistupur and Adityapur. The machines are clearing dust and dirt from the roads, giving them a fresh look. JNAC sanitation workers are providing the finishing touches to spruce up the city’s roads by cleaning and painting the road dividers.
