Jamshedpur: The Steel City is gearing up to accord a grand welcome to the President, Droupadi Murmu, who is scheduled to visit Kadma on February 26 to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Shri Jagannath Spiritual and Cultural Charitable Centre Trust.
In preparation for the high-profile visit, the district administration has intensified arrangements across the city, with a special focus on the event venue in Kadma. Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi conducted a detailed inspection of the site to review the progress of ongoing works and ensure that all preparations are completed in a timely and organized manner.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the layout plan, stage setup, seating arrangements for visitors, and security measures. He also assessed the progress of tent construction and instructed officials to maintain high standards in all aspects of the arrangements, keeping in mind the dignity of the Chief Guest.
Emphasizing seamless execution, he directed that proper entry and exit gates be ensured along with adequate barricading, drinking water facilities, toilets, uninterrupted electricity supply, firefighting systems, and clearly marked emergency exits.
Special attention is being given to security and traffic management. The Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to coordinate closely with security agencies to ensure smooth VIP movement, including detailed route planning, traffic regulation, and effective crowd control measures.
He also directed that the venue and surrounding areas be thoroughly cleaned and beautified ahead of the event, with strict instructions to ban the use of plastic materials at the site.
Calling for coordinated efforts, the Deputy Commissioner urged all departments to work in close collaboration to ensure the successful and smooth conduct of the prestigious event, which is expected to witness a significant gathering.
Senior officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Paswan, Sub-Divisional Officer (Dhalbhum) Arnab Mishra, along with other administrative officers and members of the organizing committee, were present during the inspection.
