Police to come down heavily on traffic norm violators: Kartick S

Saraikela, July 17: In the course of his inspection of Adityapur and RIT police stations, Saraikela-Kharsawan�s new Superintendant of Police Kartick S told news reporters that the district police would come down heavily on traffic norm violators.

Talking to the media, the new SP said that speed and rash driving, driving of vehicles by minors, not adhering to traffic safety norms and other discrepancies would lead to seizure of driving licenses. Young people throwing traffic rules to the wind will be apprehended and action against their parents and guardians will be taken. Vehicle checking will also be conducted near schools to check for proper documents and licenses of students driving vehicles. Kartick S has also ordered that all heavy vehicles should carry radium strips to prevent road accidents.

The SP stated that the entry of brown sugar in the district will be stopped as those involved in this business will be shortly exposed. The police are also keeping a sharp eye on people who are exchanging or sending messages and information or spreading rumors on social applications with explicit tones to create social discord. Such persons would be booked under serious legal charges.

He averred in clear terms that Naxalites willing to join the main social stream were welcome and that action against those who do not surrender would continue unabated.
