Jamshedpur: In a bid to spread awareness on the adverse effect of air pollution as a result of industrialization, Kasidih High School organized a plantation drive on the school premises on 24thOct.
The chief guest of the programme was SN Sharma of the Horticulture department. The principals, coordinators, teachers students and other staff participated in the plantation drive.
The programme was organized to celebrate ‘ Van Utsav’ under the aegis of Eco Club (Kasidih High School) and was volunteered by K Prashant, president, Kamya and Adarsh, vice president, Shahanawaj, secretary, Aman Verma, Sarita Srivastava, Sujata Tiwary, Khurshid Khan ,Mani mala , Pushpalata; Sharada and Lalita Parasuraman of the Eco- Club.
The Van Mahotsav was the first initiative taken up by the school, in which more than 100 saplings were planted. The programme was a grand success.
