Jamshedpur: Patna Women�s College Alumni Association is going to organize a special programme in the city to mark its 30th anniversary. The proposed event would be held at Loyola School auditorium tomorrow. The chief guest of the programme would be Rail IG Suman Gupta while the guest of honour would be Dr Mary Eugene, Superior, Sacred Heart Convent, Jamshedpur. This was informed by Vidya Tiwary, a member of the Alumni Association, during a press conference at Tube Makers� Club on Friday. She said the main attraction of the event would be a musical concert by artists from Dhoon Foundation, New Delhi. The troupe has reached Jamshedpur. Alumnni from different parts of the country including New Delhi, Dhanbad, Ranchi and other cities would be attending the programme, said Tiwary.
According to the Association members, the organization takes keen interest in various social activities. Dr Nidhi and Devika, alumni of Patna Women�s College, said the outfit is trying to connect BPL families to the social mainstream. The Association has adopted several schools in the city. Several contests are held from time to time for the kids, they said.
