Jamshedpur, March 11 : A 35-year-old patient died of allegedly wrong injection late on Sunday night at the MGM Medical College Hospital. Following this, the family members along others create ruckus. A team from Sakchi police station arrived at the scene and assured the kin of necessary action against the guilty doctor after a probe. The patient, Bablu Karmakar who was a resident of Devnagar in Sitaramdera died after nurse injected two vials of drugs within 10 minutes times. Bablu who was attended by his 10-year-old son Sonu and wife Tumpadied. Bablu was suffering from skin disease beside other complication and was admitted at the medical college hospital’s medicine department four days ago.
“My husband died while he was talking to my son. the injection. The doctor must have injected wrong drugs that led my husband to die instantly,” said Tumpa.
Hospital superintendent, Arun Kumar joined here today only and expressed ignorance about what the skin patient. “Dr Nakul Prasad Chaudhury, who is deputy superintendent, was looking after the hospital and he would tell the fact,” said Kumar.
The deputy superintendent Chaudhury said the patient was suffering from acute kidney ailment beside the skin problem and the sudden death took place only due to his kidney ailment.
” As per our findings BabluKarmakar was admitted at the medical college hospital twice earlier also for the treatment of the skin problem. It was during his admission here we had detected his kidney problem which was very serious in nature and had advised him to go to nephrology department in RIMS at Ranchi as there is not proper treatment facility for this disease here in MGM Medical College Hospital,” said Chaudhury.
