Parents threaten agitation against DBMS English School over failed students

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, April 3: The conflict between the management of DBMS English School and parents regarding the promotion of class 9 and 11 students shows no signs of resolution, escalating tensions further. Parents of the failed students continue to stage protests outside the school premises, accusing the management of ignoring directives from the district administration to promote the affected students.

In a recent demonstration outside DBMS School Kadma, parents voiced their grievances and raised slogans against the school management. Allegations include the failure of the school to take necessary steps for promoting the students despite instructions from the local administration. Furthermore, accusations of financial exploitation by the school have also surfaced, although these claims have been vehemently denied by the management.

Parents assert that while other schools have initiated special classes and announced dates for special examinations to promote failed students, DBMS School management is procrastinating and evading responsibility. Despite a meeting with the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and subsequent directives, the school allegedly continues to delay the promotion process, causing frustration among parents.

Expressing their discontent, parents have submitted a letter to the SDO, highlighting concerns about exorbitant fees charged for lower kindergarten (LKG) and demanding prompt action from the authorities. They have issued a stern warning to the school management, threatening to escalate their protests into a more vigorous agitation if the promotion issue is not resolved and the fee collection practices are not halted within two days.
