Jamshedpur: Panchayat Secretary of Chakulia Kanhuram Hansda and Block Coordinator Sunil Kumar Hansda visited several villages of Shyamsunderpur panchayat on Thursday and inspected the under-construction Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana housing units. The beneficiaries of PMAY were asked to ensure early completion of construction work. A deadline of 10th February was given for roof construction, sources said.
The Panchayat Secretary visited Benasholi, Nayagram, Shyamsunderpur and Sonahatu. He also convened a meeting to discuss local development issues with the villagers. He requested the villagers to coordinate and cooperate with local administration officials to ensure success of various government schemes.
Among others present on the occasion included Sushil Giri, Tapan Kumar Giri, Nirmal Giri, Polai Nayak, Bhagirath Nayak, Bhagirath Nayak, Dilip Nayak and Durga Giri.
In Matiabandhi panchayat, free LPG connections were given to 36 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Many dignitaries were present during the programme. They included Zila Parishad member Jagannath Mahato, Mukhiya Subita Singh and Deputy Mukhiya Laxmi Rani Mahato.
