Jamshedpur: Many of the opponents of the newly appointed district Congress president of East Singhbhum Vijay Khan seem to be going on the backfoot following the suspension of former district general secretary Rishi Mishra.
They are now avoiding making statements against Khan and his supporters. This was said today by former district vice president of Congress Vijay Kumar Yadav and other party members.
Yadav said he and his supporters will neither participate in the programmes of Khan nor will they join his committee. They said they will however organize party rallies to strengthen the organization.
They said they will meet party president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi within 10 days and demand removal of Khan from the post of district president.
