Jamshedpur : Two persons were injured, one of them fatally, when the bike they were riding skit and hit a tree near Tatanagar station on Station-Khasmahal Road under Parsudih police station area.
The victims were rushed to Tata Main Hospital, where one of them identified as Amir Khan (22) succumbed to his injuries at about 2.30 am. The condition of other injured, Raza Quereshi (23) is said to be serious as he has also sustained head injuries.
Residents of Makdhampur in Parsudih, Amir and Raza fell victim to the mishap as they were moving to a tea-stall at Tatanagar railway station along with two more bikers at the unearthly hours.
One of the youths who was accompanying the victims and was present at the scene of mishap said that the stretch of the road was unlit and in the middle of the road there is a tree against which the bike had dashed after being skidded off the road.
Officer-in-charge, Parsudih police station, Dayanand Kumar that the bikers were riding at a high speed and the mishap took place as the bike-rider concerned had missed to look at the tree in the middle of the road.
The officer-in-charge said that the injured Raza was not in a condition of speaking and when he would be able to speak the matter will become further clear.
