Comprehensive review meeting to address infrastructural and service-related issues

Jamshedpur, Sep 4: State Health and Food Supply Minister Banna Gupta conducted a comprehensive review meeting with multiple government departments, including the Mango Municipal Corporation, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Drinking Water Sanitation Department, Energy Department, Road Construction Department, and Food Supply Department. The session aimed to address various issues and expedite ongoing projects.
The meeting commenced with a review of the Mango Municipal Corporation and Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee’s performance. Gupta emphasized the need to increase sanitation workers, repair and install street lights, conduct regular fogging and anti-larvae spraying, and fix high mast lights and water pumps. He instructed officials to enhance the overall sanitation and lighting infrastructure in these areas.
In the discussion with the Energy Department, Gupta called for replacing outdated electric poles, wires, and earthing systems. He stressed the installation of 200 KVA transformers and the laying of underground cables on main roads in the Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency, where the current load exceeds capacity.
Addressing the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Gupta learned that the department requires two additional motors for the intake well. After discussing the issue with the Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, he secured approval for the necessary equipment and directed the cleaning of the intake well. He also instructed the construction of public water tanks in areas lacking adequate drinking water supply to ensure residents have access to clean water.
Gupta further reviewed the road construction projects, urging officials to expedite a significant Rs 25 crore scheme in Jamshedpur (West) Assembly constituency and complete it within 15 days. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of promptly finishing the first under-construction flyover in Jamshedpur to alleviate traffic congestion, particularly in the Mango area.
In his instructions to the Food Supply Department, Gupta addressed the difficulties faced by the public in obtaining ration cards. He directed officials to expedite the processing of pending applications and ensure that the benefits of government schemes are accessible to all, particularly the poor.
Minister Banna Gupta concluded the meeting by stressing the need for accountability and sensitivity from all departmental officers. He emphasized that the benefits of public welfare schemes must reach the most disadvantaged individuals, ensuring effective service delivery and community support.
