Jamshedpur, March 23: A 54-year-old man died after speeding SUV hit the scooty (two-wheeler) he was travelling in near Tinplate Kali Mandir under Golmuri Police Station jurisdiction on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjay, a resident of Sidhgora Cross Road No. 5. He was a senior process assistant in Nuvoco Company.
According to reports, Sanjay was on his way home from the company when a speeding Scorpio (SUV) hit the scooty from behind near Tinplate Company. He was severely injured the mishap and locals rushed Sanjay to Tinplate Hospital. He was soon referred to TMH for better treatment. Sanjay succumbed to his injuries during treatment at TMH. Soon his family members arrived at the hospital. Police has seized the SUV and also arrested the driver.
