Jamshedpur: A delegation of officials of Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) led by KV Nayar today met the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of East Singhbhum Amol Venukant Homkar demanding measures to ensure security on the campus in view of alleged attempt by certain people to disturb peace in the institution.
Varun Kumar, assistant manager, administration, NTTF, in a statement issued on Friday, said, �Our delegation apprised the SSP of the current situation on the campus. For the management, the security of staff is foremost. We will not tolerate unwanted activities or political hooliganism aimed at creating terror. This is why the college has been closed for an indefinite period.�
Kumar said the campus had turned into a venue of political hooliganism continuously for three days. �The students, staff and principal of the institute were assaulted. As a result of this, the management decided to shut down the college indefinitely. The semester exam was also cancelled,� he said.
