‘No Entry’ in Jamshedpur on February 3rd for Shab-e-Barat

Jamshedpur: In view of Shab-e-Barat, a “No Entry” zone will be enforced across Jamshedpur on February 3rd. No heavy commercial vehicles will be allowed to operate in the city from 6:00 AM on February 3rd until 6:00 AM on February 4th. A total ban has been imposed on the movement of heavy commercial vehicles during this period; however, passenger buses are exempted and will be allowed to move without any restrictions.

Exemption for Emergency Services

In addition to passenger buses, vehicles involved in emergency services will also be allowed to operate. It is noteworthy that the official order regarding the “No Entry” for Shab-e-Barat has been issued. The order bears the joint signatures of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ananya Mittal, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishore Kaushal, and the DSP Traffic.

Annual Tradition Following Past Accident

The district administration enforces this “No Entry” every year on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat. This practice began several years ago following a major road accident on this day. Following the incident, the public protested and demanded a ban on heavy vehicles during the festival. Since then, the administration has consistently implemented “No Entry” on Shab-e-Barat to ensure public safety.
