Jamshedpur: In a major move to boost regional academic standards, Kolhan University (Chaibasa) and the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today. The agreement establishes a formal framework for research collaboration and academic synergy between the two premier institutions.
Leadership and Witnessing
Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, and Prof. Anjila Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of Kolhan University, officially signed the document. Representing Kolhan University as witnesses were Ranjeet Karn and Central Vigilance Officer (CVC) Arvind Kumar Singh.
Key Areas of Collaboration
The MoU outlines several strategic initiatives designed to benefit both faculty and students:

Resource Sharing: Both institutions will grant mutual access to libraries, laboratories, and digital learning platforms.

Joint Research: Faculty will collaborate on nationally and internationally funded research projects and co-supervise PG and Ph.D. scholars.

Exchange Programs: The agreement facilitates exchange visits for teaching staff and encourages student internships and research training.

Knowledge Hub: The partners will jointly organize seminars, workshops, and high-level academic conferences.
A university official noted that this partnership will unlock new avenues for skill enhancement and provide students with exposure to high-level technical research environments.
