NIT Jamshedpur Scholar Defends Thesis on Sustainable Power

Jamshedpur: Chandra Shekhar Choudhary achieved a significant academic milestone on Tuesday by successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur. His research, conducted in the field of advanced energy materials, offers promising solutions for sustainable power generation.

Turning Waste Heat into Electricity

Choudhary presented his thesis, “Practical Analysis of Thermoelectric Materials for Power Generation: Principles, Classes of Materials and Emerging Applications,” at the DJLHC complex. His work focuses on:

  • Energy Efficiency: Converting industrial waste heat directly into electrical energy.

  • Sustainability: Developing technologies that reduce our carbon footprint.

  • Practical Innovation: Analyzing emerging applications for thermoelectric materials in the modern power sector.

A Hybrid Academic Success

The defense took place in a hybrid format, allowing both physical and virtual participation from faculty and research scholars.
