National Youth Day celebrated at Vivekananda International School Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: A two-day event was organized at Vivekananda International School, Mango, to honor the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, celebrated as National Youth Day. The event was inaugurated by Shatabdi Majumdar, SDM of East Singhbhum, who expressed her admiration for the various performances by the students.

The students of the school put on a spectacular show, featuring sweet songs, captivating short plays, speeches, and a Swadesh Mantra, all inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. The fancy dress segment, where young children dressed as different members of society, was especially well-received. In an impressive gesture, four children donned the costume of Swami Vivekananda and recited his famous speeches, which garnered applause from the audience.

The chief guest, Shatabdi Majumdar, delivered an inspiring speech, urging the students to aim high and prepare well for their futures. “You are the future of the nation, and you must focus on your education and values to build a prosperous and peaceful India,” she said. Mrs. Majumdar also praised the school’s continuous progress in academics and extracurricular activities, emphasizing the importance of holistic development.

Dr. Nidhi Shrivastava, the Principal of the school, in her welcome address, thanked the SDM for her presence and support. She also encouraged students to imbibe Swami Vivekananda’s patriotism and national spirit. The event was conducted by Shahnawaz Khan and saw the participation of school staff, parents, and students.

The event proved to be an enriching experience for all, fostering a sense of pride and inspiration among the young attendees.
