Nalayak Band to perform at XLRI’s Ensemble-Valhalla fest on Nov 18

Jamshedpur: XLRI will witness the performance of Nalayak Band for its professional show nights during Ensemble-Valhalla, the flagship annual festival at XLRI Jamshedpur, on 18th November night.

Defined by its enchanting stage persona, Nalayak- The Band is an emerging, first – of – its kind, independent rock band from Chandigarh. Applauded for the crazy acts and stupefying live performances, Nalayak’s music gently teases the bizarreness of the “Modern Society”.

The oldest B-school of the country would also be holding Bollywood night with Sachin-Jigar on November 19 and Stand-Up comedy night with Biswa Kalyan Rath on 17th November.

Bursting on to the scene in their first film as an independent composing duo for F.A.L.T.U (2011), Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya’s songs immediately became the party anthems of the year.

Biswa Kalyan Rath has taken over the internet time and again with shows like Pretentious Movie Reviews, In Your Face and of late, Laakhon Mein Ek. Hailing from Odisha, the IIT Kharagpur grad has released a full length comedy special on Amazon Prime called Biswa Mast Aadmi which has earned him rave reviews.

XLRI’s annual management, sports and cultural fest will be held from November 16th to 19th in the college campus.

The preparation for the fest has entered the final phase and the curtains on a number of much-anticipated events have been lifted.

The leading B-School which has hosted stars performing on campus at previous editions and the organisers are leaving no stone unturned to take it up a notch during the first fest merger in the history of XLRI.

Ojas Entertainment, Comedy Central, MTV Beats and Colour have directly contributed to the pro-shows through contacts and promotion whereas Tata Steel, Levis, Talwalkars, Raymonds, JUSCO and Winkies have also been instrumental in conducting the fest. From Future Leaders Program, MUN and debates for school children and undergraduate students to comedy and Bollywood nights, the fest is presenting a Melange of Ideas for engaging one and all.
