Oppn gears up to corner government on multiple issues
Ranchi, September 2:The Monsoon Session of Jharkhand Assembly will commence from Friday is all set to disruptive as the opposition is likely to corner the government over a host of issues.

As per the schedule the proceedings of the house will commence on September 3 after which there will be two days break on September 4 and 5 on account of Saturday and Sunday.
The House will reconvene on September 6, during which apart from the question hour, the Chief Minister’s question hour has been also scheduled while on the other hand the government will also table into the house the first supplementary budget for the year 2021-22.
On September 7 discussion will be held over the first supplementary budget after which it will be passed while on September 8 and 9 normal functioning of the house including question hour has been listed. The session will end on September 9.

Chief whip of the opposition BJP Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan said that no longer the MLAs of BJP will sit quiet over the disrespect being shown to their legislature wing leader Babulal Marandi and once again the party will raise the issue of chair of leader of opposition. He said that law and order situation has become pathetic in the state and everyday murders are taking place in capital.
He said the parties which are in power had promised lakhs of jobs but could not give a single employment. Issues of alleged syndicate involvement in liquor trade, disrespect towards Hindi language and other issues will also be raised.
On the other hand Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Alam said that the government is ready to give reply of all the questions of the opposition inside the house. He said that whatever questions will be raised as per the rules on those answers will be given. He hoped that in the interest of the people the session will be very useful.
Earlier, Jharkhand government announced the name of seven ministers who will be in charge of various departments during the monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha.
After a nod of chief minister Hemant Soren, the state cabinet secretariat and monitoring department have issued a notification.
Congress MLA Alamgir Alam will be responsible for home, prison and disaster Management department, cabinet election, personnel, administrative reforms and official language department including Parliamentary Affairs and Law Department.
JMM MLA and transport minister Champai Soren will be responsible for forest, environment Department, Manoharpur MLA Joba Manjhi will have to answer for department of Revenue, Registration, Land Reforms, department of Information Technology and e-Governance
JMM MLA from Garhwa, Mithilesh Kumar Thakur will be in-charge of water Resources Department, Higher and Technical Education Department, Industry Department, Information and Public Relations Department and RJD MLA Satyanand Bhokta will have to answer for urban development and Housing Department while Jamshedpur West MLA and health minister Banna Gupta will reply for energy department.
The last session of the Legislative Assembly concluded on 23 March.
According to political observers, the monsoon session is likely to be stormy.
Authenticated copies of the ordinances promulgated by the Governor will be laid on the table during the period of absence in the Assembly session.
It is expected that the Medical Protection Bill will also see heated debates from both sides of the benches.
Speaker Rabindranath Mahato held a meeting with senior officials of the government along with the legislature party regarding the conduct of the session, but BJP did not participate in it to protest BJP legislative party leader Babulal Marandi not being invited.
The government will be questioned on many issues including judge and lawyer murder, unemployment, alcohol, law and order and JSSC appointment manual.
