Jamshedpur: With the festival of Holi to be celebrated on March 14 and 15, the markets of Jamshedpur are buzzing with excitement. Shops are decked out with colourful pichkaris, masks, and herbal gulal, attracting enthusiastic buyers.

Children are especially thrilled, showing a keen interest in cartoon-themed and Modi-Yogi pichkaris, along with a variety of designer masks.

Vibrant stalls selling colours and gulal have been set up in Sakchi, Bistupur, Kadma and Jugsalai markets adding to the festive fervor. Holi, the festival of colours, will be celebrated on March 14 and 15, and shoppers are making the most of the lively market atmosphere.

This year, masks featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and cricket players are in high demand. Besides traditional pichkaris, children are opting for stylish and innovative water guns.

Shopkeepers are also enjoying the festive rush, stating that sales have improved compared to the previous year.

The demand for herbal gulal and eco-friendly colours has seen a significant rise. While earlier, synthetic colours dominated the market, buyers now prefer natural and skin-friendly alternatives.

Holi is a festival that symbolizes joy, unity, and the spirit of togetherness. It is a time when people set aside differences and embrace one another with love. The festival also marks the beginning of the new Samvat with the ceremonial burning of Holika.
