Modern English School celebrates annual day with Cultural Performances

Jamshedpur: The annual day celebration of Modern English School, managed by the Sakchi Gurudwara Management Committee, concluded with great enthusiasm and joy at the school premises. Students impressed the audience with colourful cultural performances, making the event memorable for parents and guests.

Former Olympian Harbhajan Singh, President of the Jharkhand Basketball Association and East Singhbhum District Basketball Association, attended as the chief guest. He spoke about the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, and dedication in students’ lives. World Champion boxer and Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Jharkhand Police, Aruna Mishra, was present as the guest of honour. She motivated students and teachers to focus on hard work, determination, and overall development.

Sardar Nishan Singh, President of Sakchi Gurudwara, attended as the special guest and spoke about the school’s continuous progress and the bright future of its students. General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale and youth leader Satbir Singh Somu also appreciated the academic achievements of the students and the efforts of the teachers.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a welcome address. Students then presented dances, dramas, songs, and other cultural items that received loud applause. Meritorious students were honoured for excellence in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities.

Principal T. Shiva Kumari said the annual day provides a platform for students to showcase their hidden talents and promotes their all-round development. The event was compered smoothly, and the vote of thanks was delivered by teacher Archi.

Several members of the Gurudwara Committee were present, encouraging the students and making the celebration a grand success.
