Jamshedpur, Dec. 30: Blankets were distributed among the poor and homeless people of various panchayats under Gamharia block on Friday.
The programme was inaugurated by local MLA Champai Soren at Chotta Gamharia and Jagganathpur panchayat.
Present on the occasion, block development officer said, the district has allotted 1500 blankets to the Gamharia block for distribution to the poor and needy of the region. Every panchayat has been provided with 70 blankets each.
On the occasion Nirola Sardar, Prabha Devi, Renu Devi, Ambuj Prajapati, Ward member Anita Devi, Vikas Kumar, Manju Mahato, JMM block president Amrita Mahato, Varun Mahato, Madhav mahato, Sambhu Kumar and villagers in large numbers were present.
