Bhayli Mahila Mandal honours new brides

Jamshedpur, April 11: The sixteen-day long Gangaur festival culminated amidst joy on Thursday evening with the immersion of Gangaur and Jawara. A mass Gangaur immersion program took place on the banks of the Sonari Domuhani river, the confluence of Kharkai and Swarnarekha rivers, where hundreds of women and girls from the Marwari community, hailing from nearby areas like Sonari and Kadma, gathered to immerse their respective Gangaurs and Jawars.
Women danced, sang, and recited prayers while immersing the Gangaurs and Jawars. They also applied Abeer and Gulal on each other, celebrating the occasion with fervor.
During the event, the Bhayli Mahila Mandal Jamshedpur, under the leadership of President Kavita Agarwal and Secretary Manju Agarwal, honored and welcomed new brides who worshiped Nai Byavli Gangaur with gifts. Refreshments were provided to all who attended the function Earlier in the morning, a collective Gangaur puja was organized by the Mandal for women of the community at Mahila Satsang Bhawan, Sonari.
