Jamshedpur: Former Chief Minister and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi today accused Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and All Jharkhand Students Union of being the obsequious followers of national parties.
Marandi alleged that both parties had neglected local candidates in the Rajya Sabha elections. He said the JMM and the AJSU had given their votes to the candidates from Hariyana and Gujarat in the RS election held recently under pressure from Rashtriya Janata Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party.
Marandi, speaking over phone, said the law and order situation in the state was deplorable. The problem of extremism has raised its ugly head in the last several years. At the time of foundation of the state, there was no problem of extremism in the state.
The JVM leader said the people of the country were no longer willing to accept the leadership of Congress and BJP. He said the third front was moving fast ahead as an alternative for the people against the two major national parties in the elections.
