Jamshedpur: A Potka resident killed his elder brother, identified as Diku Sardar, 48, by hitting him with cane in Upar Devli Tola of Jamda panchayat in Kowali police station area on Thursday.
Police arrested the accused, Hapan Sardar, and sent the body to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination.
Sources said the incident occurred when the deceased was shouting outside the house of the accused in an inebriated condition.
Diku Sardar was also knocking repeatedly on the door which irked his younger brother. He sustained critical head injuries and multiple limb fractures that led to his death.
