Major reshuffle in Jamshedpur Police: 53 officers transferred, several thanas get new OC

Jamshedpur, March 12: In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening policing and improving operational efficiency, Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey has ordered the transfer of 53 police officers across the district.
The sweeping changes, which include inspectors, sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors, have been implemented with immediate effect.

As part of the restructuring, several police stations in the district have been assigned new officers-in-charge. Inspector Pravesh Chandra Sinha, who was serving as the Officer-in-Charge of Kadma Police Station, has been appointed as the Circle Inspector of Jadugora.
In a reciprocal move, Circle Inspector Dileep Kumar Yadav from Jadugora has been posted as the new Officer-in-Charge of Kadma police station.

Similarly, Santosh Kumar, who was heading Chakulia Police Station, has been transferred to Jugsalai Police Station as a JSI, while JSI Rajesh Kumar from Sitaramdera Police Station has been appointed the new Officer-in-Charge of Chakulia police station.

Changes have also been made at Patamda Police Station, where Officer-in-Charge Karmapal Bhagat has been shifted to head Parsudih Police Station. JSI Vishnu Charan Bhogta, earlier posted at Ulidih OP, has been made the new Officer-in-Charge of Patamda police station.

Further, Officer-in-Charge Dhananjay Kumar Paswan of Kowali Police Station has been transferred to Kadma police station as JSI, while Mukesh Kumar Sao from Jugsalai police station has been appointed the new Officer-in-Charge of Kowali.

Several officers have also been shifted between police stations and the police line.
SI Ramprawesh Kumar Rai has been moved from Bistupur Police Station to Baharagora Police Station as JSI.
Officers from the police line, including Manoranjan Kumar and Rajesh Kumar Mandal, have been posted to Sitaramdera and Bistupur police stations respectively.
Changes were also made in the traffic wing. Kamakhya Paswan from Bistupur Traffic Police Station and Ramesh Kumar Pandey have been posted as JSIs at Sakchi Traffic Police Station.

Meanwhile, several personnel from the Jugsalai traffic unit have been shifted to the police line.

In addition, a number of officers from various police stations and offices—including Burmamines, Sonari, Bodam and the DSP office—have been transferred to the police line or reassigned to new responsibilities across the district.

Some officers have also been assigned duties in traffic management, court security, city patrol units and check-post operations.

According to police sources, the large-scale reshuffle has been carried out as part of an administrative exercise to enhance efficiency, streamline operations and further strengthen law-and-order management across urban and rural areas of the district.
All transferred officers have been directed to assume charge at their new postings with immediate effect.
