Baharagora, March 26: Mahila Samiti members of Mauda village in Baharagora Block today met former BJP state president Dineshanand Goswami and stated their problems to him.
Speaking to the women after hearing their problems, Goswami assured them that he would take up their cause and try to resolve the issues raised by them. The former BJP state chief informed them that the government had launched many schemes to make them self reliant economically. The Mahila Samitis had played pivotal roles in aiding women to avail of these women oriented schemes.
Dineshanand Goswami explained to the women the benefits of the Kaushal Vikas scheme which was aimed at providing training to them and create employment opportunities for them. He said, �This is the 21st century and this is the century for youth and women to develop and ensure development. When women become self dependent, the family becomes self dependent.�
Among those present during this impromptu meeting included party block president Baptu Sao, Bhupati nayak, Bhakti Panda, Gaurav Pushti, Mukhiya Sulata Munda, Panchayat Samiti member Ketaki Nayak and many others.
