Mahila Akhara plants tree in Gamharia Dispensary

Jamshedpur, July 8: Social organization Hanuman Mahila Akhara led by its senior vice president Rajshri and Chairperson Manju Singh led a plantation drive in the Gamharia Dispensary area. They planted saplings of Malacca and red cotton tree. Akhara president Usha Singh said that planting of trees and nurturing them like children was of utmost importance to conserve water thereby raising water level. She said that it was also essential to ensure that rain water seeped into the ground and this could be done by planting more trees. She also stressed on rain water harvesting measures. Mahila Akhara members and the dispensary staff pledged to take care of plants and trees at all times so that drought like situations were averted. Secretary Mira Tiwary and other women present were highly appreciative of the measures being taken by the state government to conserve water and urged all to contribute to this cause of mankind.
