Jamshedpur, Aug 31: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East (IWC) organised awareness program on menstrual hygiene among adolescent girls in Luabasa Madhya Vidyalaya near Telco. Sanitary pads were also distributed among the girl students.
The main speakers of the event were Dr Meena Mukherjee and Rama Khanna.
The club members informed that most of the girls were found using clothes during periods.
100 pads were given to the teachers to maintain a pad bank for regular supply and self sustaining the stock of pads for maintaining hygiene. All the club members were present on the occasion.
