Loyola School Welcomes Class XI with Orientation Programme

Jamshedpur: Loyola School launched the Plus Two academic journey for its new Class XI students by hosting an orientation programme and parents’ meeting. The event brought together school management, teachers, parents, and students to foster a collaborative educational environment.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp to symbolize knowledge, followed by a prayer song from the school choir. Rector Rev. Father Michael T. Raj welcomed the attendees with a prayer, while Principal Rev. Father Vinod Fernandes delivered an address emphasizing Jesuit values as the foundation for academic excellence and holistic growth.

During the session, class teachers introduced themselves and committed to mentoring the students throughout the year. Vice Principal Jayanthi Sheshadri detailed the academic structure and expectations, while Senior Section Coordinator Victoria Prasad underscored the necessity of discipline. To showcase the school’s commitment to sustainability, the institution screened a video on the Tarumitra Project.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session where parents engaged directly with faculty to address specific concerns. This partnership between home and school remains a cornerstone of the Loyola experience. The gathering sang the National Anthem to close the programme, signaling an optimistic start to a productive academic year.
