Jamshedpur: Loyola School, Telco hosted its much-anticipated 5th Annual Prize Nite 2024–25, an evening dedicated to celebrating commitment, character, and the vibrant spirit of Loyoleans. From brilliant academic achievers to graceful performers and responsible young citizens, the event honored every spark of greatness that illuminates the Loyola community.
The evening commenced with the Academic Procession, a symbolic tribute to Loyola’s unwavering pursuit of excellence. Leading the procession was Chief Guest Aniket Sachan, IAS (ADM Law & Order and Deputy Development Commissioner), accompanied by Principal Charanjeet Ohson, Fr. Gerry D’Souza (Administrator & Treasurer), Fr. Vinod Fernandes (Principal, Loyola Bistupur) and Fr. Pius Fernandes. Proudly joining them were Head Boy Lakshya Verma and Head Girl Nirja Tiwary, bearing the school flag, alongside awardees from Nursery to Class 9.
Guests Debjyoti, Sister Salomi, Vivek Jha, and Anupam Sinha were alkso present at the event. The event’s opening was anchored by hosts Tr. Ranjita Kaur, Tr. Moubani and Tr. Soni, whose warm welcome set the tone for an inspiring keynote address.
In his keynote, Aniket Sachan shared his remarkable journey—from an Electrical Engineering graduate at IIT (BHU) to an IAS officer. “Stay focused, be resilient, and never underestimate the power of discipline,” he urged, inspiring students to dream boldly and pursue their aspirations with determination and clarity.
The Prize Nite recognized achievements across a wide spectrum of categories including Little Achievers Award (Nursery) – For holistic development during the foundational years, 100% Attendance Awards – For unwavering dedication and presence, Academic Excellence Awards – For outstanding academic performers, Student for Others Award – For empathy, leadership, and service to others, Outstanding Student Award – For all-round excellence in academics and co-curricular activities, Remarkable Improvement Awards – For notable growth in discipline, academics, and behavior, General Proficiency Awards – For consistent academic merit, and Special Subject Awards – For the highest scorers in individual subjects across grades.
The evening also featured cultural performances. A Prayer Song and a divine Prayer Dance set a spiritual ambiance, followed by a powerful performance by the school band, IGKNITES, whose music electrified the audience. A major highlight was the enthralling Dance Drama – “The Journey of Loyola”. Through emotive choreography and storytelling, it beautifully depicted the school’s inspiring transformation from humble beginnings into a beacon of value-based education and holistic development.
Principal Charanjeet Ohson announced the coveted title of Miss Loyolean of the Year 2024–25, awarded to Kumud Goswami. This prestigious honor recognized her for embodying academic brilliance, leadership, and character—qualities that Loyola School cherishes deeply. As Kumud walked the stage to thunderous applause, it was a moment of immense pride for the entire Loyola family.
As the celebrations neared their end, Principal Charanjeet Ohson delivered the Vote of Thanks, appreciating the relentless dedication of teachers, the unwavering support of parents, and the extraordinary efforts of students. Special thanks were extended to Fr. Gerry D’Souza, whose quiet leadership and steadfast commitment ensured the seamless execution of this grand celebration.
The programme concluded with the rendition of the Candle Song and the Loyola Anthem.
