Jamshedpur, Nov 21: The Career Guidance Club of Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) conducted an informative session titled “Your Future, Your Choice” for Class 8 students on Friday. The session aimed to help students understand various academic streams and make confident, well-informed decisions about their future. The programme was led by Moderator Sarbjeet Kaur and Assistant Moderator Lavanya Kaur, with Vice Principal and Head of the Career Counselling Cell, Rina Banerjee, also in attendance.

To begin the session, members of the Career Guidance Club presented a compelling Nukkad Natak that highlighted the importance of selecting subjects based on personal interests, strengths, and long-term career goals. The street play served as an engaging introduction and captured the attention of students, encouraging them to reflect on their choices.
During the session, students were introduced to the three major academic streams—Science, Commerce, and Humanities. The moderators explained the scope, future opportunities, and evolving career paths linked to each stream. They also discussed how the job market is rapidly changing with new fields emerging in technology, design, entrepreneurship, and social sciences.

The session was interactive, with students raising questions and seeking clarity on different career options. Teachers and students appreciated the initiative for providing timely guidance and helping young learners evaluate their interests and aptitude before choosing their streams.
