Jamshedpur: Mrs. K.M.P.M. Vocational College holds convocation ceremony

Degrees awarded to three batches

Jamshedpur: Mrs. K.M.P.M. Vocational College, affiliated with Kolhan University, organised its convocation ceremony on Thursday at the Kudy Mahanty Auditorium in Kadma, formally conferring degrees on graduating students from multiple academic sessions.

Degrees awarded to graduating batches

Students from the 2018–21, 2019–22 and 2020–23 batches were awarded bachelor’s degrees as per Kolhan University guidelines. The ceremony also included the felicitation of university toppers and Chancellor’s Award winners, acknowledging academic excellence.

Registrar highlights education’s role in nation-building

The Chief Guest, Dr Ranjit Kumar Karn, Registrar of Kolhan University, addressed the graduates and stressed the importance of innovation, research, and ethical values.
“Education is the foundation of progress. Graduates must use their knowledge responsibly to contribute to national development,” he said.

Emphasis on holistic development

The Guest of Honour, Dr Professor Ashok Kumar Jha, Principal of LBSM College, Jamshedpur and spokesperson of Kolhan University, encouraged students to apply their skills for social good. He highlighted the importance of cultural awareness, linguistic heritage and overall personality development alongside professional success.

Dignitaries grace the occasion

The event was attended by several senior academicians and administrators, including Mr A.F. Madan, Administrator of the JEM Foundation; Dr Meeta Jakhanwal, former Principal of the college; Mr Jiju Thomas, Senior Manager, JEM Foundation; and Mr Naveen Kumar, Manager, JEM Foundation.

College leadership congratulates students

Dr Reeta Kumari, Acting Professor-in-Charge of the college, congratulated the graduates and said the convocation marked both the completion of their academic journey and the beginning of new career opportunities.

Commitment to quality education reaffirmed

Reiterating the vision of the JEM Foundation, Mr A.F. Madan said the foundation remains committed to promoting quality education rooted in ethics and excellence.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the national anthem, marking a proud and memorable day for students and their families.
