Jamshedpur: Kasidih High School successfully organised its Annual Sports Day 2025 over two days, on December 19 and 20, at the school’s spacious playground. A large temporary seating arrangement was made for parents and students, creating a lively and festive atmosphere throughout the event.

The first day was dedicated to the Primary School Sports Meet, with active participation from students of Nursery to Class V. The programme was graced by Chief Guest Neeta Sinha, a senior primary teacher who is set to retire on December 22 after 21 years of dedicated service. The meet began with the unfurling of the school flag, followed by an impressive march past by the four houses—Varun, Agni, Surya and Indra—accompanied by the school band. Students took part in track and field events such as relay races, 100m and 200m races, long jump, discus throw and volleyball. Kindergarten students delighted the audience with fun events like sack race, frog race and pack-your-bag race.

The second day featured sports events for High School students, with Chief Guest D. Sharda, senior Hindi and Sanskrit teacher, who will superannuate in January 2026 after 25 years of service. After the opening ceremony and march past, students competed in various athletic events including sprints, relay races and shot put, displaying enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Francis Joseph highlighted that Sports Day is about participation, teamwork and personal growth, not just winning. The event concluded successfully with the collective efforts of teachers, staff and coordinators, reflecting strong teamwork and discipline
