JNAC tightens screw against illegal constructions in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 27: The Special Officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), Krishna Kumar has started tightening the screw on people involved in illegal construction of houses or tweaking building plans. Four notices were issued on Tuesday, July 27 to such persons.  The people concerned have been directed to dismantle the illegal portions on their own or JNAC would carry ouit the operations and add the expenses to their accounts. Those violating the orders will have legal proceedings initiated against them.

One such case is that of a construction on Coke de[pot Water Works Road under JNAC command area. The building under construction’s plan was passed for basement + ground + 4 floors but a fifth floor was being constructed. JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar had issued a notice accordingly but in the absence of satisfactory explanation, a fresh notice was issued giving the owner of the building 24 hours’ notice to dismantle the illegal construction. Accordingly, the owner in the process of dismantling the extra construction had the centering material removed and the work of breaking the pillar was on. The Special Officer has issued office orders to complete removal of the remaining portion of the illegally constructed portion.
