Jamshedpur, April 9: A team of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) led by Special Officer Krishna Kumar launched an awareness campaign near Shahid Chowk in Sakchi and urged people to follow all COVID protection protocols in view of the resurgence of coronavirus infection. More than 300 masks were distributed among the people not wearing masks and they were warned of severe penalties if caught without these masks in future.
JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar said that it was necessary to abide by protective norms in view of the growing cases of corona infections. JNAC Brand Ambassador Pappu Sardar who was also present on the occasion stressed that people should not panic but adopt all protective government guidelines. He said that the second wave of COVID-19 had been ‘invited’ by people’s negligent attitude. “We downed our guards when COVID cases were reducing which led to the viral disease’s reemergence. We should put on masks whenever we step out of our homes for our personal, our family’s and the community’s protection,” he said.
Krishna Kumar and Pappu Sardar said it was also important to wash hands with soap and water and to use hand sanitizers as often as possible. Social distancing was also underlined by them.
