Jamshedpur, Dec 17: A delegation of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) East Singhbhum district coordination committee met Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Piyush Pandey on Tuesday, demanding a fair and impartial investigation into cases allegedly filed against senior party leaders. The delegation claimed that former minister Dulal Bhuiyan had lodged a false case against JMM senior leader and central committee member Mohan Karmakar and central committee member Pramod Lal.
The leaders urged the SSP to ensure a transparent investigation so that the truth emerges and justice is delivered. They expressed concern that such cases could be politically motivated and aimed at tarnishing the image of party leaders.
Prominent members present in the delegation included central committee members Sheikh Badruddin and Pramod Lal, district coordination committee chief Baghrai Mardi, along with several party leaders, women representatives and a large number of JMM workers. The delegation said it had full faith in the police administration and hoped that an unbiased investigation would lead to appropriate action in the matter
