Jamshedpur: Members of Jharkhand Human Rights Conference (JHRC) today met the special officer of Jharkhand Notified Area Committee and demanded implementation of orders of the Jharkhand High Court regarding disposal of bio-medical waste.
The outfit members said they were not going to let the issue of safe disposal of bio-medical waste cool down so easily.
The outfit president Manoj Mishra said the JNAC officer should take measures to make sure that the bio-medical waste coming out of the hospitals, nursing homes and other health centres of the city are disposed properly without causing any harm to citizens, animals or the environment.
He said notices should be sent to all authorities concerned whether in government agencies or private organizations regarding safe disposal of bio-medical waste as per HC guidelines.
